COURSE DURATION:  1 DAY A WEEK FOR 7 MONTHS JAN-JULY

  • Skin Peeling

  • Anatomy and Physiology

  • Provide Facial Skincare

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Provide Facial Skincare:

This qualification is for learners who want to work within the beauty therapy industry. The qualification consists of 1 mandatory unit with a total of 56 hours of Guided Learning (GL) to achieve the full qualification. The main skills the learner will perform are:

• Facial skincare – to include consultation, skin analysis, cleansing, massage, application and removal of masks, adaptation of treatment to suit the client’s needs, and providing aftercare advice The learner will also develop knowledge about related health and safety and client care and communication which is essential to work and be successful in the beauty industry. This qualification also provides:

• The related knowledge and understanding required to perform the beauty treatments listed above as well as understanding the structures that the learner will be working over in particular recognition of skin types, skin and nail diseases, and reasons that may affect whether a client should or should not be treated

• Opportunities for learners to focus on the development of their wider skills in a beauty therapy setting, such as communicating with clients, working with others and problem-solving

• Opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills, techniques, personal qualities, and attitudes essential for successful performance in employment as a facial skincare specialist.

Anatomy and Physiology: 

This qualification is for learners who want to work within complementary therapies, beauty 
therapy or sport and fitness industry. The qualification consists of 1 mandatory unit with a total of 
100 hours of Guided Learning (GL) to achieve the full qualification.
The main knowledge the learner will develop is:
ï‚· The anatomy, physiology and pathology of the body systems - to include the cell, skeletal, 
muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, digestive, urinary and 
reproductive systems

Dermaplain: 

Are you a beginner beauty specialist looking to advance your career in the skincare industry? Our training course on Dermaplaning is designed to help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to offer this highly sought-after treatment to your clients.

Dermaplaning is a gentle and effective exfoliation technique that removes dead skin cells and fine facial hair, leaving the skin smooth, bright, and rejuvenated. This treatment is in high demand among clients seeking a non-invasive and highly effective skincare solution.

You’ll learn about the science of exfoliation, the benefits of Dermaplaning, and how to choose the right tools and products for this treatment.

At the end of the course, you’ll have the knowledge and skills you need to confidently offer Dermaplaning as a new treatment on your menu, helping you attract new clients and expand your business.

Skin Peeling:

The aim of this qualification is to develop the learner’s knowledge, understanding and practical skills when using superficial skin peel products and techniques to rejuvenate the condition of the skin. Learners will acquire skills involved in providing a thorough consultation, skin health checks to establish the client’s suitability for treatment and to formulate a specific treatment plan tailored to suit individual client needs. Learners will prepare and apply a range of skin peels as well as providing the relevant pre and post care.
